Postcard from Paradise

After the sleepless 12 hour flight from Hongkong to Frankfurt and another 2 hour drive to the town of Ense, Jeff and I finally arrived in our company office at 9:30am (that’s 3:30pm Manila time). Thanks to Andrea Bergener, a young lady-colleague we look up to (she stands around at least 1.8 m!), who though visibly sleepy, have been gamely answering all inquiries about her country and the German people.

During the drive, we were awed and captivated by the picture-perfect scenery in this south-western part of Germany. The long stretches of verdant wheat-fields and yellow flowers are back-dropped by pristine hill-ranges and small mountains adorned with pine trees. Clusters of villages are in the middle of the fields, independently powered by wind-mill generators that look likes giant electric fans blowing the cool May spring breeze to every passer-by. The sky was perfectly blue and the sun crisp in its shining radiance.

I can take an umbrella and a small chair and stare at the view all day long for the rest of my lives and never get tired looking at them.

Simply breath-taking.
Man working in harmony with nature.
The hand of God behind them all.
